Text Messages from NOHM

NOHM LLC texts people from 888-230-NOHM (888-230-6646) about their own NOHM account, jobs and rentals. Homeowners also get one thank-you text after their first paid NOHM service, with a request for an app review and a note about Invite a Neighbor. That text is sent once per account and never again. NOHM sends no other promotional or referral texts.

What we text

Login codes, for example: "Your NOHM verification code is: 482913. Valid for 5 minutes."
Job updates for homeowners, for example: "NOHM: Your pro is about 5 minutes away. Open the NOHM app to follow them on the map and have your arrival PIN ready."
New work orders for pros, for example: "New NOHM work order. A homeowner chose you. Open the app to review the details and send them a message. Thanks for taking great care of our local homeowners."
Rental and lease steps: a tenant's invite code from their landlord, an application link the applicant asked for, application decisions, move-in payment links and receipts, and lease codes. For example: "Your landlord invited you to NOHM. Your verification code is: 7K2Q9D. Open the NOHM app to accept. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
Emergency alerts to a landlord about a property they manage, for example: "NOHM EMERGENCY: Water leak at 104 Oak St, reported 2:14 PM. Open the NOHM app to see the Emergency Card and get help."
Notices about charges on your account, such as a cancellation fee
Once, after a homeowner's first paid NOHM service, a thank-you with a review request and Invite a Neighbor: "Thanks for using NOHM. If we earned it, we'd really appreciate a quick review on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6761128513?action=write-review And don't forget - invite a neighbor. When they complete their first NOHM service, you both get $25 in NOHM credit. Reply STOP to opt out." Android phones get the Google Play link instead. Leaving a review is up to you and earns nothing. The Invite a Neighbor credit is NOHM credit, not cash, and comes when a neighbor you invited completes their first NOHM service.

The first text NOHM sends a number that hasn't signed up ends with "Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." NOHM never texts gate codes, door codes or other access details.

How you agree to texts

1. Creating a NOHM account. You give us your mobile number when you create a NOHM account, in the NOHM app or on nohm.app (booking a pro at /book, joining as a pro or renter at /join). Right under the phone number field, the sign-up form says:

The same screen asks you to agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before your account is created, and your number is confirmed with a one-time code.

2. Applying for a rental on a NOHM listing. You type your own mobile number into the Apply form, which says:

3. Your landlord sending you an invite or an application. A landlord can send a tenant they have a lease with, or an applicant who asked them for an application, one text with an invite code or an application link. The app keeps Send off until the landlord confirms:

They asked for this and agreed to get a text from NOHM about it. Msg & data rates may apply. They can reply STOP to opt out.

Invitations to join NOHM as a pro are never texted from NOHM's number. The person inviting sends them from their own phone.

Stopping texts, and getting help

Reply STOP to any NOHM text to stop getting texts. We confirm once and send nothing more.
Reply START to get texts again.

Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
